Webhook delivery from the Cloud API gateway was delayed by 90–180s for approximately 28 minutes due to a saturated retry queue. All events were eventually delivered; no events were lost. Root cause: a configuration change in our background worker pool. Mitigation: rolled back the change and increased worker capacity by 2×.
