Most template rejections come from a handful of avoidable mistakes.
Pick the right category
- Marketing — offers, promotions, re-engagement
- Utility — order/account updates tied to a transaction
- Authentication — one-time passcodes
Submitting a promotional message as Utility is the most common rejection reason.
Write it cleanly
- No misleading or incomplete content (avoid lone "Hi {{1}}")
- Correct, sequential variables:
{{1}},{{2}} - No prohibited content (no abusive, adult or restricted-goods wording)
- Match sample values to how the variable will really be used
After you submit
Approvals usually take minutes to a few hours. You'll see live status inside BulkMessageSender. If rejected, fix the flagged issue and resubmit — there's no penalty.
