Data Deletion Instructions
How to delete personal data BulkMessageSender holds about you or your end-customers.

1. Overview
This page explains how to delete personal data stored in BulkMessageSender. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR, and Meta's Platform Terms, you and your end-customers have the right to request deletion of personal data BulkMessageSender holds about you.
If you are an end-customer of a business that uses BulkMessageSender, please first contact that business directly — they control your data. If they fail to respond, you may escalate to privacy@serves.in.
2. Delete your data from your workspace (self-serve)
The fastest way to delete data is from inside your BulkMessageSender workspace:
Delete a single contact
- Sign in at
app.wachat.serves.in - Navigate to Contacts
- Open the contact, click ... → Delete contact & conversation history
- Confirm. The contact and all associated messages are deleted within 24 hours.
Bulk-delete contacts
- Select multiple contacts with the checkboxes
- Click Bulk actions → Delete
Close your entire workspace
- Owner-level access required
- Go to Settings → Workspace → Delete workspace
- Type your workspace name to confirm. All data is queued for permanent deletion within 30 days.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account, email privacy@serves.in with the subject Data Deletion Request and include:
- The email address you used to sign up
- The phone number associated with your BulkMessageSender workspace (if any)
- A clear statement of the data you want deleted
We verify your identity (usually by sending a confirmation to the registered email) and complete the deletion within 30 days. You'll receive an email confirming completion.
4. Deleting data via Meta
BulkMessageSender operates on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API. If you are seeking deletion of data stored by Meta (as opposed to BulkMessageSender), please use Meta's data-deletion tools at facebook.com/help/contact/507739850846588. BulkMessageSender will cooperate with valid Meta deletion requests within five business days.
5. What gets deleted
A deletion request removes:
- Your account information (name, email, phone, billing address)
- All contacts in your workspace and their custom properties
- All conversation history (inbound and outbound messages, attachments)
- Automation flow logs and analytics linked to the deleted contacts
- Cached message metadata in our search index
What we keep (and why)
- Invoices and payment records — retained for 7 years to comply with Indian tax law
- Aggregated, anonymised metrics — used for capacity planning, contain no personal data
- Security logs — retained for 90 days for incident response; do not contain message content
6. Backups
Encrypted backups are retained for 30 days for disaster-recovery purposes. Deleted data persists in those backups for up to 30 days before being permanently overwritten. Backups are not accessible to staff except during a verified disaster-recovery event.
